Sports are good for health, doing the right thing after the sport is better! You are told what to avoid.
Food, rest, drinks … what we do after our sports session has a huge impact on how we recover.
Here are five common mistakes we often do and are no longer to be practiced.
- Zap stretching
After the sports session is over, it is always good to strectch. Before resuming our daily life, we should stretch; even if it for few minutes (it has been shown that stretching each part of the body 30 seconds is enough).
- Forget to hydrate
During a workout, it is sometimes difficult to drink enough. So, when we’re done, we make up for it! The idea is to drink more than usual in the hours after the sports session, to help the body recover. And this, even if we are not especially thirsty!
- Sitting all day
The movement of the body throughout the day depends on each individual’s job, to prevent muscles from tensing and promoting blood circulation and preventing body aches, it is always good to devote a few minutes in the evening to dynamic stretching.
- Eating too greasy foods
Fatty food slows down digestion, while you need to recharge the body. Within 20 to 30 minutes of the session, protein and carbohydrates are preferred.
- Not enough sleep
It is while sleeping that the body recovers the best, so it is important to sleep well when you have played sports. So if we know that we have a big night planned, it is better to shift our sports training.
Well, in the end, what we do after the sport does not risk ruining all our efforts or to boost them as if by magic. On the other hand, a good recovery makes that in the long term, giving time for sports is more pleasant and more effective. Is it not what you want?
